(230 words) The most difficult thing for an artist is to depict an action. When there are trees, grass or flowers on the canvas, this means that the painter sat and calmly painted. But to catch the movement is already harder. However, Grigoriev succeeded: he stopped the moment when the boy was preparing to repel the attack on the gate. The picture is called “Goalkeeper”.
The canvas depicts a guy on a football field surrounded by fans. The artist snatched from life the very moment when the striker tries to score a ball, and the goalkeeper is waiting for a decisive shot. He already has a bandage on his knee, so before us is an experienced football player. But all eyes are on the one who is about to kick the ball. But we do not see him. This is the intrigue that Grigoriev specially created. And those who see the striker are clearly visible to us. These are eight children (not counting the goalkeeper) and an adult man. All the little spectators have not yet grown up to play on their own. Among them are girls with bows and a doll. One of them has not yet taken off her school dress, satchels are lying nearby, which means that the game goes after classes. The only adult observer, probably the father of one of the guys. But he watches the game no less intensely than they do. A dog is sleeping next to the company. In the background is a city with large buildings. This means that the guys are urban, but they play in a wasteland away from the city, and an adult man accompanies them.
I liked the picture “Goalkeeper” because it contains a whole story. We can think of it and imagine. Thus, it provides food for thought.
Plan for an essay based on Grigoryev’s painting “Goalkeeper”:
- Introduction (Feature of the Grigoriev painting);
- The main part (Description and characteristics of the figure);
- Conclusion (What I liked about the painting “Goalkeeper”)
