(445 words) Each person lives in the real world with all his problems, concerns and joyful moments. But for some reason, some can successfully cope with difficulties and easily find their place in any team, while others prefer to build castles in the air and indulge in dreams. I believe that the departure into the world of dreams is due to the inability or unwillingness of some people to find their place in reality. I will give a few arguments confirming my point of view.
For example, Oblomov, the protagonist of the famous work of I. A. Goncharov, does nothing significant to realize his plans. Every day he lies on the couch, makes fantastic plans, but this is where his initiative ends. However, the ideas of landscaping the estate quickly bother him, and then he calls Zakhar to finally tidy up or bring dinner. A friend of Oblomov, Stolz cannot wake up an apathetic hero from a waking dream, because he does all the work for him: he understands the buddy’s complicated financial affairs, arranges his personal life, and solves problematic everyday tasks. This is the first reason for the painful reverie of Ilya Ilyich: Zakhar works instead and Andrei thinks. The second reason is that Oblomov from childhood found himself in an environment where laziness and idleness reigned. So he got used to go with the flow, doing nothing. He was pleased to imagine something grandiose, great, but, alas, not having any relation to reality. But he did not want to achieve this and did not know how. But admitting his worthlessness is difficult, so he had to run away from reality in fantasy.
Nikolenka Irteniev, the hero of the trilogy of Leo Tolstoy “Childhood. Adolescence. Youth, ”turned out to be a dreamer of a different kind. He constantly made promises to become better and figured out how to do this. True, most often his ideals diverge from reality. Nikolenka learns the correct moral principles from Prince Nekhlyudov, but the hero’s inclination to analyze all actions leads him into a dead end: he himself admits to falling into a “hopeless circle of his thoughts”. Nikolenka rarely finds understanding among relatives and friends. A friend often criticizes him, the older brother laughs. How, in such conditions, do not begin to fantasize about a perfect world where everything is cloudless and beautiful? In addition, the young man grew up in a "greenhouse setting" where everyone loved and cherished him, and then he moved to the city, lost his beloved mother and realized that not all people are ready to adore and extol him. The reason for the hero’s escape from reality is simple: he got confused in it and did not find support.
Thus, people run away from reality because they do not find a place in it for themselves and their lofty ideals. As a rule, such dreamers were brought up in a narrow family circle, where they were carefully guarded from the harmful influence of the outside world. Caught in this adult world, which is so complex and dangerous, yesterday's children cannot adapt. They do not want or do not have the ability to recognize and correct this, and therefore run away from problems in castles in the air.
